Normans Invade and Occupy England (1 janv. 1066 – 1 janv. 1074)
Description:
The Normans came from France and invaded England in 1066. By 1072 they had firmly taken hold of the kingdom, in 1073 the Normans controlled the curch and state in England.
The Normans were led by the duke of Normandy later known as William the Conqueror.
The Old English language absorbed approximately 10,000 words and phrases from the Normans, some exmples of this are the use of armies, navies and Soldiers.
