Description:

Cook was born in November 7th 1728 in the village of Martin in Yorkshire and was baptized on November 14th. He attended Public school from 1741 to 1746. after passing his examinations in 1752 he progressed through the merchant navy ranks. he married Elizabeth Batts on December 21 1762. he had six children James, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Joseph, George, and Hugh. None of whom had any children before their deaths.
