The Gulf War (2 août 1990 – 28 févr. 1991)
Description:
The Gulf War was a 39-nation coalition lead conflict in response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. The main player of this war however was, to no ones surprise, the United States. With Operation Desert Shield which began a military buildup for some months, and then Operation Desert Storm which began a large scale strategic bombing campaign against Iraq. The war resulted in a victory for Kuwait, The United States, and the rest of the coalition members. The following photograph displays a US diplomatic envoy meeting Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
