The Punic Wars (1 janv. 264 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 146 av. J.-C.)

Description:

There were three Punic Wars that were between Rome and Carthage.

The First Punic War took place from 264BC to 241BC. This war was over the island of Sicily, and although Carthage had an advantage because they had a larger navy, Rome quickly advanced and managed to win the war.

The Second Punic War took place from 218BC to 201BC. During this war, Hannibal crossed through the Alps to attack Rome. However, they weren't able to, and when Rome went to attack Carthage they retreated.

The Third Punic War took place from 149BC to 146BC. In this war Rome attacked the city of Carthage, and after three years they won and burnt it down.
