US Involvement in Regime Changes in Asia (1 août 1945 – 1 janv. 1992)
Description:
The United States began its involvement in Asia with the Korean war, supporting a US-Aligned government in South Korea. The United States in total had involvements in the asian nations of Korea, China, Syria, Burma, Iran, South Vietnam, Laos, Iraq, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Afghanistan. The regime changes during the cold war ended in Afghanistan in 1992, when the US backed Mujahideen gained victory over the Soviet Union. However, some of these nations, particularly in the middle east, are still under US influence and involvement today. The following picture depicts Nationalist China leader, Generalissimo Chiang Kai Shek, who was supported against Mao Zedong and the People's Liberation Front in China.
