Description:

Letters exchanged between Sir Henry McMahon (British High Commissioner to Egypt) and Hussein bin Ali (Sharif of Mecca). Agreed to recognise Arab independence in a sizeable region after the war in exchange for the Sharif launching the Arab Revolt against the quickly declining Ottoman Empire.
