Battle of Pingxingguan (24 sept. 1937 – 25 sept. 1937)

Description:

The Battle of Pingxingguan, or the "Great Victory of Pingxingguan", was the first Chinese victory (over the Japanese) of the war. Both the Chinese and the Japanese lost 400-600 soldiers during the battle, however the Chinese managed to capture 100 trucks filled with supplies and other materials. Japanese leaders learned from this battle, and avoided the mistakes that led to their defeat at Pingxingguan in other battles. Regardless, the Chinese viewed it as a great victory and it was heavily used as propaganda.
