John Locke (29 août 1632 – 28 oct. 1704)

Description:

Locke was an English thinker who created the famous "Life, Liberty, Property" statement which declares that humans shall have the right to live as they desire, humans shall be given certain freedoms and liberties that can not be taken away, and humans shall have the opportunity to own property. He lived through the Glorious Revolution in which King James II was overthrown by William of Orange and Mary II, which led to Locke improving Thomas Hobbes's social contract to be a cycle between the people overthrowing or replacing the government if they choose to misuse power. His social contract also stated that the people must provide power to the government, but in return, the government must protect the rights of the people.
