Barbary Wars (13 mai 1801 – 5 mai 1803)
Description:
A series of war w/ the Barbary States of North Africa which were caused by Barbary demands for tribute payments from US (and others) trade ships. Washington and Adams agreed to the payments but Jefferson didn't and this led to a series of conflicts. Eventually, things were settled w/ reduced payments.Ajouté au bande de temps:
