Herbert Howells (England) (1 janv. 1892 – 1 janv. 1983)
Description:
Howells began studying organ music at age 18. He enrolled at the Royal College of Music at age 20 where he became Stanford’s most prized composition student. In 1917 he began teaching at the Royal College, and stayed there until shortly before his death. His most acclaimed works were composed shortly after the death of his 9 year old son.
