Description:

Shift from Democrat-Republican to Jacksonian Democrats. Was a "man of the people", generally disliked the aristocrats and favored policies geared toward the common man. Disbelieved in the idea of class system. Gave rights to white men, severely limited blacks and Natives. Overall believe in more democracy, less aristocracy. Supported by white-farmers who felt "left-behind" by the Market Revolution.
