U.S Bombs Cambodia (18 mars 1969 – 28 mai 1970)
Description:
President Nixon approved the bombing mission in Cambodia, and the goal was to destroy the Ho Chi Minh Trail. There was a total of 3,630 flights over Cambodia and 110,000 tons of bombs were dropped in the time period of 14 months. These bombings were kept a secret from the public and Congress because Cambodia was neutral country. This is important because America was bombing a country that was not involved in the war and had done nothing to provoke them, and it was kept a secret from the public.Source:
