Agent Orange (1 janv. 1962 – 1 janv. 1971)
Description:
Agent Orange was a powerful herbicide that American forces used during the Vietnam War in order to eliminate the forests that the Viet Cong used to hide. It was later realized that this herbicide was a cause of cancer and birth defects which effected Vietnamese citizens and U.S. Veterans alike. More than 13 million gallons of Agent Orange was used in Vietnam throughout the entire war. This is an important part of American history as it was an atrocious act committed in a time of war that had many unintended consequences that ended up causing serious harm to innocent civilians not involved in the war.
