The Iron Curtain (1 janv. 1945 – 1 janv. 1991)

Description:

The Iron Curtain was formed as a buffer between Russia and Europe. It was made up of most of the liberated countries taken by Nazi Germany, these functioned as Soviet Satellite states which were handed over during the Yalta conference with Stalin promised free and fair elections. This did not happen with there being heavy suppressing of non Soviet aligned parties, resulting in puppet states. This shows hwo the apeasment during the Yalta confrence much like the Munich confrence just gave power and time to a dictator, instead of creatign a firendly and diplomatic connection.
