Pierre de Fermat (17 août 1601 – 12 janv. 1665)
Description:
French lawyer and mathematician who made important contributions to the development of modern calculus and the theory of numbers. Fermat is best known for his work on the principle of least time, which states that light travels along the path that takes the least amount of time. One of his most famous formulas is Fermat's Last Theorem, which states that there are no three positive integers a, b, and c that satisfy the equation a^n + b^n = c^n for any integer value of n greater than 2.
