Mao Zedong (19 mars 1927 – 30 nov 1976)
Description:
The leader of the China Communist Party. He led the Communists on the Long March, rebuilt the Communist Party and Red Army during the Japanese occupation of China. Post World War 2, he led the Communists to victory over the Guomindang and ordered the Cultural Revolution. His changing China to Communism threatened the Western powers who sought to limit the spread of Communism, spurring the rise of the Cold War post World War 2.
