The Black Death (1 janv. 1300 – 1 janv. 1700)

Description:

The Black Death kills a third of the population from India to Iceland, including about half the population of Britain.

The Black Death, a form of plague though to have been carried partly by fleas on rats, starts in the East. In 1347 it arrives in Europe in trader’s ships. Eventually it kills many people,
perhaps one-third of all the people in Europe.

People bitten by infected fleas got headaches, fever, vomiting, and swelling of their glands. Sometimes their skin would turn black. Most
died within a week.
