Description:
Asa reigned for 41 years in Jerusalem and was good in the sight of the Lord, as his father David had done (1 kings 15:11, and he got rid of all the idols his fathers had made.
Extra detail:
Asa formed an alliance with Ben-Hadad I, king of Aram-Damascus, and bribed him, convincing him to break his peace treaty with Baasha and invade the Northern Kingdom (2 Chronicles 16:2–6).
