Description:
King of IsraelJeroboam was made king when Ahijah tore a cloak into 12 pieces and gave Jeroboam 10 of the pieces.
He built shrines on high places and appointed priests of all peoples. They were not Levites.
He was evil in the sight of the Lord. He built idols and worshipped them.1 Kings 13:33
