Description:
Jehoiakim was 25 years old when he became king. He did evil in the sight of the Lord just like those before him.During his reign King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon invaded. The Lord also sent Babylonian, Aramean, Ammonite, and Moabite raiders to destroy Judah.

During Jehoiakim’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded the land, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. But then he turned against Nebuchadnezzar and rebelled.
