Evidence of small settlement in Jericho in 1400s BC, erosion has erased significant part of archaeological layer
The Balu'a Stele, found north of Al-Karak in the region of Moab, is thought to date somewhere between 1309-1151 BC. It shows a king, resembling one of the Shasu groups, with two Egyptian gods. This is evidence Moab was likely active and attempting to emulate the styles of the Egyptians.
