Due to the intolerable acts. The colonists asked the king to end the Intolerable Acts, however, Kind refused. They also wanted to go back to Salutary neglect (no calls for independence yet)
Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Delegates from twelve of Britain's thirteen American colonies met to discuss America's future under growing British aggression.
