Who: There are a lot of different groups of people who live in Darfur - ( labelled African) (SLA and JEM groups) Fur, Masalit, Zaghawa tribes, and ( labelled Arab ) Baggara and Abbala. Also the group Janjaweed who were against the AfricansWhat: . The African group finally started fighting back and ended up attacking and killing government soldiers. The government wanted to exact revenge and helped the Janjaweed in the killing of Africans, leaving hundreds of thousand killed and having to flee to avoid the violence.
Where: Darfur, Western Sudan
Why: The Africans were treated horribly and discriminated against, the Arabs would make speeches in Darfur about clearing the land of black Africans.
