Description:
Who: Hutu's and Tutsi's and Belgium
What: Laws were made, The citizens now had to register and carry a card on them to show identification. If you did not have identification they would measure you and sort you by your appearance. In the 1960’s Belgium withdraws from Rwanda. The Hutu's are still mad and so many Tutsi's are massacred, the other Tutsi's flee Rwanda. In just 100 days, an estimated 800,000 Tutsis were murdered. They were killed primarily with knives, machetes, and clubs. 100,000 of these were children.
Where: Rwanda Africa
Why: Rwanda was now under the safe guard of the UN, and was now governed by Belgium. The Belgians decided to use the class system and favored the Tutsis then gave them special privileges and a western-style education because they looked more European.
