Description:

the workers went on strike following a wage cut, the company's manager Henry Frick hired strikebreakers with agency detectives to protect them. a gun battle resulted in several people killed and many others injured, the governor sent militiamen to support the company. the broken strike represented a majopr setback that was felt for decades.
