Labor
- Children worked dangerous jobs and crucial hours without no benefits whatsoever.
- These jobs did not pay well, up to a dollar a day
- Children would be punished if they were late or talked to other children during working hours
- It was very easy for children to get seriously injured or even get killed. Kids would get tired and fall asleep and accidentally fall into machines
