Description:
Despite the ascendency of white supremacy, throughtheir migration North, Black Americans were able to produce a proliferation of art
and identity. The economic success of post-WWI created mass consumerism and
liberation which manifested in exuberance and optimism for many Americans
and despair for other Americans.
