Description:

The Civil War was between the United States of America (North) and the Confederate States of America (South) who left the union from 1860 and 1861. The war was a result of the disagreement over slavery. Abraham Lincoln was president during the Civil War. He refused to recognize the southern states as independent. The war began when Southern troops bombarded Fort Sumter, South Carolina.
