Writs of Assistance (1 janv. 1763 – 1 janv. 1776)
Description:
The Writs of assistance was an order directing that a part convey, deliver, or turn over a deed, document, or right of ownership. This law stated that officials can board ships and enter homes for no reason. The purpose for this law is for people to stop smuggling. The Writs of assistance allowed British customs officers to search anyone they suspected at any time. The colonist were mad about this and they started to boycott.
