Description:
The Counterculture movement, which became popular in the 1960s and 70s, "was a time when youth rejected social norms and exhibited their disapproval of racial, ethnic, and political injustices through resistance, and for some subgroups, revolt." (Bousalis). The anti-establishment culture was largely anti-war, and promoted peace and love.
