Siege of Yorktown (30 sept. 1781 – 19 oct. 1781)
Description:
The French were crucial in the siege of Yorktown because they helped make the British surrender. In addition, the Spanish assisted the French in creating a naval blockade. This was lead by George Washington, who became a war hero after the war and eventually the first president.
