Late Middle English (1 janv. 1300 – 1 janv. 1440)
Description:
In the 14th century a new dialect began forming around the London area (East-midlands). Geoffrey Chaucer is notable at this time. In the 1430's Chancery English started because most clerks spoke French and Latin which changed some pronunciations making it sound more like modern English.
