Pisistratus Temporarily captures the port of Megara (1 mars 570 av. J.-C. – 1 févr. 565 av. J.-C.)
Description:
Pisistratus belonged to the same aristocratic clan the former archon, Solon. He was appointed military commander by the Archon Polemarch and went forth to capture Megara for Athens, giving athens control of the northern part of the Saronic gulf.
This act made pisistratus incredibly popular in Athens
