Description:

The Loyalty Review Program had been integrated into federal employment as an example of witchhunt, based on the fear of suspicion and deception of manipulation. Just after the Truman Doctrine had been announced, President Truman tried to calm public suspicion by implementing the Loyalty Review Program, a system which screened federal employees for their loyalty towards the US and its policy rather than loyalty for communism. This policy had done more harm than good in finding communist government workers. Many people had become suspected of using items that could be evidence supporting communism, causing thousands of federal employees to lose or quit their jobs from the suspicion of being communist.
