Description:

The Columbian Exchange started people Columbus wanted gold, glory, and god. There was a constant interaction between the Natives and Europe. The Europeans benefited from the exchange because of maize. The population increased in both Europe and African. The only benefit the Native Americans gained was horses which helped then with hunting. Columbus and other Europeans believed in mercantilism. It's were money, in this cause good, are given to the motherland(Europe). While the population of Europe and African was increasing, the population of Native Americans was decreasing. This started the beginning of slavery because the Europeans needed more people to do their labor.
