Battle of Coral Sea (4 mai 1942 – 8 mai 1942)

Description:

Marked the first air and sea battle. Allies intercepted the Japanese trying to gain control of the Coral Sea. Resulted in an allied victory. This was important because the U.S. was able to defeat Japan.
