Description:
The Berlin Wall was built around Western Berlin by the Communists in order to prevent interactions between East and West Berlin. East Berliners were sick of the communist grasp on them and many fled to West Berlin or the "Democratic West." Slowly access was cut off by closing checkpoints and the slow rising of the Berlin wall. This way East Berlin was to be "protected" from western influence. After uprisings, escape attempts, and much suffering the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 and the two sides were joined with joy.Ajouté au bande de temps:
