Description:
After a coup in the Lombards at 615, Grimoald, the new king of Lombards start to wage a war on Rome, to claim the Italian Peninsula, and soon took much of Rome territory in italy. Theodosius III then responsed with an army, the war last about 15 years, until Beneventum and Spoleto are forced to bow to Constantinople, and bring most of italy under Rome control, however, it also made the treasury empty, and overstretched rome army.Ajouté au bande de temps:
