Soviet Satellite States (1 janv. 1946 – 1 janv. 1990)
Description:
Via political maneuvering or engineering revolutions or coup d’états the USSR put Communist governments in charge of many Eastern European countries. They provided a buffer from the West for the USSR and gave them more resources and a larger population. Some satellite states included: Albania, Poland, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, East Germany, Hungary, and Romania.
