Lewis and Clark expedition (14 mai 1804 – 23 sept. 1806)
Description:
In 1805, President Jefferson sent explorers Meriwether Lewis and Willam Clark, commonly known as Lewis & Clark, to explore the area west of the Mississippi River. They started with the area included in the Louisiana purchase, then went further west. They began in St. Louis, eventually making their way to the Pacific Ocean, crafting detailed maps along the way.
