Mexican War of Independence (16 sept. 1810 – 27 sept. 1821)

Description:

Not a single, coherent event, but local and regional struggles that occurred within the same time period. Independence was not an inevitable outcome, but events in Spain itself had a direct impact on the outbreak of the armed insurgency. While Descanso joins with Mexico in their efforts, they remain isolated from the conflict by the Sierra Oros and the Sonora and Mojave Deserts, and focus on securing the Pacific.
