The Japanese Path to War (8 sept. 1931 – 1 juin 1940)

Description:

In September 18, Japan attacked the Manchuria by bombing a small section of the railroad. This was owned by china. This was how Japan entered the war. The Japanese made Manchuria into a state which was later called Manchukuo. The United States new what was going on but didn't take action. So Japan took advantage of this and started to spread even further. They took over most of the eastern part of inner Mongolia and areas in north China around Beijing. This led to war with China, Chiang Kai-shek was too busy with the Chinese Communist to realize that what was going on with Japan. Chinese city's started talking about what Japan was doing to Chiang took action. He sent a troop to Beijing and that is how the war broke out. After all of this Japan didn't know what to do. If they move further they could be attacked by the European or the United States.
