He was president of Security Bank & Trust Co. of North Providence and East Providence since its inception about 15 years ago.

Affiliations: He was a trustee of St. Ann's Church and of Loggia Vittoria, Sons of Italy. He had sponsored and served as chairman of a number of groups formed for charity. His memberships included the Manufacturing Jewelers & Silversmiths Association, the Metacomet and Alpine Country Clubs, the Aurora Club, and the Woonasquatucket Rotary Club.

Honors and Awards: Mr. Porcaro had been Man of the Year of the Holy Name Society of St. Ann's Church, the Italian American War Veterans, the Verrazano Day Committee, and the Women's Youth League. He also was the recipient of the Italian Government's Star of Solidarity.
