Third Punic war (1 janv. 149 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 146 av. J.-C.)
Description:
Unabated fear from Carthage combined with encouragement from Cato the Elder, it led to the most needless and unjustified war of the three Punic wars. It ended in 146 B.C.E when Scipio Aemilianus, the grandson of Africanus, destroyed the hated rival and burned Carthage to the ground.
