Hanseatic League (1 janv. 1342 – 1 janv. 1450)
Description:
(1356-Post 1450) It was created by northern German towns and merchants in order to protect their mutual trading interests. It controlled trade in northern Europe for around 200 years in it's high point. It is thought to have originated in the east when German merchants won a monopoly of the Baltic trade. The control they had on trade was greatly due to the good cooperation the merchants had with each other.
