The Great Depression (27 août 1929 – 22 mars 1933)
Description:
The Great Depression was a world-wide economic crash that took place around the 1930's, beginning in America. The Great Depression was caused by a crash in the stock market in October 1929, which sent Wall Street (which holds one of the biggest stock exchanges in the world) into a panic, wiping out millions of investors. Over several years, investment consumer spending dropped severely, causing very steep declines in employment, industrial outputs, and having companies forced to lay off workers.
