Harald Bluetooth (1 janv. 910 – 1 janv. 987)
Description:
Harald Bluetooth, the Viking king of Denmark who lived from around 910 CE to 987 CE, was known for three major achievements. They were:
- unifying Denmark under a single ruler
- conquering Norway
- converting the Danes to Christianity.
Although Harald himself wasn't baptised, he supported Christianity and did do what he could to promote the religion in both Denmark and Norway.
FUN FACT: The software bluetooth that we use today is named after this Viking king of Denmark. The symbol for Bluetooth is made up of two runic letters, standing for H and B, and as Harald Bluetooth united Denmark and Norway, so does the software named after him unite communication technology.
