Battle of Stalingrad (23 août 1941 – 2 févr. 1943)
Description:
Nazi Germany fought the Soviet Union to take Stalingrad (now Volgograd) in Southern Russia. It is seen as the bloodiest and largest battle in the history of warfare. 2 million were killed. The Luftwaffe Air Force razed the city to nearly rubble. In the end Russia won by using a two pronged attack against Germany and forcing their supplies to run to nothing.
