Fourth Generation (17 janv. 1972 – 16 févr. 2018)

Description:

The next generation is the fourth generation which covers all years in between 1972 to the present time. In other words, the fourth generation is what is happening now in the present time. In this generation, computers are classified as “Microprocessors”.

• A huge breakthrough in the fourth generation that cut it above all others was the formation of the intel chip. This intel chip was made by putting together many integrated circuits to create a single silicone chip that was able to hold all the most needed components of a computer, this included things like; a CPU, memory, input and output controls etc, along with many others.
• The first ever intel ship invented was named “Intel 4004” which was developed in 1971, where the fourth generation starts. Meaning the invention of the chip marked the end of the third generation and the beginning of a new one.
