-Battle. Matthew and William are wounded.

- Telegram sent to Crawley house. Lord Grantham says "It appears that a few days ago, Captain Crawley was wounded."
-Clarkson says he can't bring William to Downton. Bates and Anna visit the church. Vera tells Bates she is going to the papers with the Pamuk story. Matthew arrives at Downton Hospital. The Dowager retrieves William from Leeds. Anna and Mary discuss the Vera issue.
- Clarkson examines Matthew. Lavinia arrives. Mrs. Hughes visits Ethel, and says Major Bryant is "coming on a visit this week". William asks Daisy to marry him now. Jane Moorsum applies to work at Downton. Mary lets Matthew know he won't walk again.Mrs. Hughes gives Major Bryant the letter. Mary talks to Carlisle about the Pamuk scandal.
-Matthew tells Lavinia to leave. Mary returns to Downton.
-Mary's engagement to Carlisle is announced in the paper. The Dowager talks to the vicar. Jane starts work. Daisy and William marry. Mrs. Crawley returns to Downton. Mary talks to Bates, saying Vera has been silenced by Carlisle. William dies.
